I Was Walking Down a Lonely Path...(Poetry)

I was walking down a lonely path,
Lost, hated and defeated!

There on my way I saw her smiling at me,
She looked sweet, loving and caring.
She came towards me,
And I knew she was the girl for me.

She spoke to me,
Told me that she loves me.
Told me that she will never leave me.
And I believed her!

I was still walking down a lonely path,
But now loved and victorious!

I met her everyday,
She looked so beautiful,
So innocent and So Truthful,
And I was falling in love with her as days passed by.

When She hugged me,
I felt I was the luckiest guy alive!
When she said she loved me,
I could have heard her say it all day!

I was still walking down a lonely path,
But now loved and victorious!

She told me that she trusts me the most,
And I believed her.
She told me that I am the most special person in her life,
And I believed her.

As days passed by,
We became closer and closer,
So close, that I can’t imagine a day without her,
And she can’t without me… At least that’s what she said.

I was still walking down a lonely path,
But now loved and victorious!

But then it all changed,
I don’t know how but it did.
The smile, The Innocence,
All just vanished!

She never loved me,
Cause she doesn’t even know what love is.
I knew what it was,
And so I loved her truly.

I was walking down a lonely path,
Lost, hated and defeated!

She cheated on me,
Left me, abused me,
Made a joke out of me,
And I accepted it without saying anything.

All that she told me,
Was all a lie.
And maybe my days with her,
Were nothing but a dream!

I was walking down a lonely path,
Lost, hated and defeated!
